The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has been around for almost two centuries. It has ebbed and fluctuated in such a predictably adaptive manner throughout it's relatively short life in the religious realm. This Church has a very sordid past, which it does a very good job of teaching for itself, whether the history is slanted or not, is yours to decide. Join me on a journey through the history of the LDS Church through the eyes of the people that were actually there. We will learn about the founding members, where the practices came from, where the Book of Mormon (Mormon Bible) came from, and most importantly, we will examine Joseph Smith in every aspect possibly available to us today.

On this episode, I snagged a few people at QEDcon 2018 in Manchester for some interviews. Give it a listen and I hope to see you at the next installment int 2020 if you can make it!

On this episode, we take a break from the historical timeline to talk with Madison Harris. She presented at the John Whitmer Historical Conference 2018 and I snagged her for a quick interview on her presentation. She discusses racism within the ranks of 20th-century Mormon leadership. The central focus surrounds Utah and the Church’s opposition to the national holiday of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Mormon racism didn’t end with the 1978 priesthood ban being lifted.

On this episode, we’re joined for part 2 of Johnny Stephenson’s interview on Mormon polygamy. Bennett’s expose printed in the Sangamo Journal, and later History of the Saints, altered Mormon polygamy from that time forward. Johnny walks us through how the expose affected the doctrine of polygamy and gives us a few insights into the real-world impact of practicing celestial marriage using first-hand accounts.

On this episode, we’re joined for part 1 of Johnny Stephenson’s interview on Mormon polygamy. We cover a brief overview of Jo’s sexual escapades prior to 1842 and the evolution of the doctrine of polygamy through Kirtland, Missouri, and into Nauvoo.
